YouTube is apparently not content to rest on its laurels as the most popular video site on the internet. For proof, just check out their new slow motion feature, which allows users to convert any of their uploaded videos into slow-motion through the YouTube editor (which you can check out here).
The YouTube slow-motion feature can slow down your videos by up to an eighth of their normal speed. It’s not as cool as a genuine high-speed camera for real slow-motion photography, but it has some interesting possibilities, nonetheless.
Unfortunately, since this is a new feature, those interesting possibilities are a little hard to come by right now. But I did find a video of someone demonstrating YouTube’s new slow-motion feature, which you can check out for yourself below.
