Latvian airline airBaltic is already famous for offering passengers the opportunity to buy things like Mini Coopers during their flights. And now they’re adding an even more extravagant item to their in-flight shopping experience, to go along with the expected snacks and alcohol: Real estate.
For around $36, passengers will be able to purchase vouchers that offer massive discounts (up to $11,700) on things like luxury apartments and plots of land. Once they receive the voucher, it can be redeemed during the actual purchase of the property from one of the airline’s partner real estate brokers.
This is clearly a pretty unique idea. Perhaps in the future passengers will actually be able to sign the documents for ownership of land before the plane hits the ground!
