It seems like every artist at the top level releases albums by surprise these days, and now Kanye West is (kind of) getting in on the trend with the sort-of-surprise, sort-of-not release of his latest studio album, a lean and mean minimalist affair simply titled ye.
ye was famously recorded in the wilds of Wyoming, and was first made available via an exclusive listening party in that secluded locale. The party reportedly included famous Kanye fans like Chris Rock and Jonah Hill among its attendees, but not everybody with a Spotify account can give the album a listen for themselves.
