Back in the old days, video game controller customization consisted of a few stickers and maybe some choice grease stains. But it’s 2016 now, and Microsoft has finally given gamers a chance to create a controller as precious and unique as they are, through the Xbox Design Lab.
The Xbox Design Lab offers (deep breath), more than 8 million different color combinations, from the overall body, the d-pad, the joystick, all the different buttons, the cord, and more. There’s also an option for text engraving, just in case you’re not the only person in the world with an electric blue/hot pink/neon green Xbox controller combo. They’re compatible with the Xbox One, the upcoming Xbox One S, and even PCs, too.
Because the controllers offered by the Xbox Design Lab are made to work with the upcoming Xbox One S, they won’t ship until September. But you can get started designing the controller of your dreams starting at $60 right here.
