This/next summer (depending on your preferred end-of-year phrasing), the next big-screen chapter in the ongoing saga of the X-Men is set to hit theaters, and its title is somewhat, uh, final – X-Men: Apocalypse. Luckily for fans and 20th Century Fox stockholders, “Apocalypse” isn’t an event, it’s a person.
Well, “person” might be a bit of a stretch, given that Apocalypse is the world’s oldest mutant and has been around for thousands of years, being worshiped as not just a god but God, according to the trailer. And now he’s apparently been moved to definitive action against the X-Men, for some reason that I’m sure will make perfect sense after I see X-Men: Apocalypse (or not).
Anyway, you can catch the trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse below. The movie is set to come out on Memorial Day, 2016, but in the meantime you can take a look at its official site right here.
