Entertainment Weekly can usually be trusted to bring us the first images from eagerly anticipated blockbusters that usually don’t look very good and temper everyone’s expectations for the movie, making crushing disappointment less likely. You can decide for yourself whether they’ve done that again in their latest issue, with first looks at the cast of characters in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse.
The EW X-Men: Apocalypse feature gives fans their first real looks at the movie’s new Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey, as well as out-and-out newcomers like Psylocke and the movie’s humongous villain Apocalypse. It also seems to be trying to prepare X-Men neophytes for what’s sure to be another mind-twisting X-Men joint from Bryan Singer, with an eon-spanning villain and more mutant powers than previously thought possible.
You can take a look at the X-Men: Apocalypse Entertainment Weekly cover below, and you can read the cover story in full at the EW site here. The movie itself is hitting theaters next summer.
