Today is what we in the culture content creation industry refer to as a “slow news day,” which means that among other things it’s time to dig into the archives and see what celebrities of today were in bands in the 90s. NME dug up the latest example – Game of Thrones and X-Men: Days of Future Past star Peter Dinklage, who apparently used to be in a “funk-punk” band called Whizzy back in the day.
You won’t find any Whizzy music on Spotify, and NME apparently came up empty on the music front too. That’s kind of surprising, because Dinklage wasn’t just a drummer or something, but a lead vocalist who provided “spoken-word interludes” at the band’s concerts in the mid-90s.
Read (and see) what little info there is on Whizzy at NME‘s site right here. With enough internet heat behind this thing, we might see a reunion of the band before the next season of Game of Thrones.
