I admit it: I love McDonald’s. I know I’m not supposed to, because it’s so bad for you, and because you can get better burgers made from locally-sourced grass-fed organic beef at any number of locally owned establishments. But there’s just something magical about sinking your teeth into a spongey Big Mac and washing it down with 14 ounces of carbonated high fructose corn syrup.
There’s also something magical about the fact that, no matter where you are in the world, you can always indulge in this glorious comfort food. Alaska, Paris, Rio, Cairo, Mumbai, Jakarta, Dubai—wherever you happen to find yourself, you can always get a Big Mac.
That being said, if you do find yourself in more remote parts of the world, your options at McDonald’s won’t be limited to Big Macs. The world’s largest purveyor of burgers always does its best to appeal to local palettes, and as a result you can find some pretty weird menu items at international Mickey D’s outposts.
Like, how weird? Well, why don’t you join us on a magical voyage of discovery and find out. If you thought the McRib was weird, you aint seen nothin’ yet.
