New from Victorinox Swiss Army comes a line of watches named for the Alpine helicopter base maintained and operated by the Swiss Air Force. They’re the Alpnach watches, sturdy enough to keep ticking in the face of virtually anything you might encounter.
The Victorinox Swiss Army Alpnach watches are cased in stainless steel and coated in black PVD, which gives it both its durability and its sleek black look. They’re waterproof up to ten atmospheres deep, and are powered by a self-winding movement. Another helicopter allusion can be found in the watch’s second hand, which looks like the four-blade rotor of the Cougar AS 532.
