As advanced as virtual reality has gotten, it still only engages with two of the five senses, maybe three if you include Smell-o-Vision. But the developers at H2L have come up with a way to engage another sense – touch – with a device they call UnlimitedHand, now raising funds on Kickstarter.
You strap UnlimitedHand to your forearm, where electronic muscle stimulation and haptic feedback are used to simulate sensations like pinching, grabbing, and physical resistance (strongly referred to as “pain,” but hopefully not severe enough for that). And it’s designed to be applied to a wide variety of preexisting VR software.
You can see UnlimitedHand’s Kickstarter campaign right here, which has another 52 days to go as of this writing. Preorders start a $212 and up depending on availability, so you might want to move fast if you want to get the best price. And no, I don’t know if you can use it with porn.
