With the likes of Tom Brady, Kemba Walker and Lindsey Vonn in attendance, Under Armour unveiled their soon-to-be-released UA Spine RPM footwear collection at an event in New York City.
In an attempt to provide athletes with a lighter shoe, without having to sacrifice support or comfort, the UA Spine RPM uses what they describe as “a responsive inner core, revolutionary UA Micro G® foam inside for flexibility and support, and an ultra-lightweight UA Spine Cage on the sole of the shoe that keeps the foot locked in place.” These features are intended to help athletes make a smoother transition from their heal to their toes while running.
The UA Spine RPM also features what they call a “UA Spine Cage,” which includes a cored-out chassis that has allowed them to remove enough unnecessary materials to construct one of the lightest (9.7 oz.), most flexible running shoes on the market.
The Under Armour Spine RPM footwear collection will be available in stores on June 29, 2012, for approximately $99.99.
