Sorry for all the Marvel and Marvel-adjacent stories lately, but they’re pretty tough to avoid with the impending release of Avengers: Age of Ultron. And no one is more aware of that approaching release date than the people behind the AMC and Regal movie theater chains, which have announced the Ultimate Marvel Marathon in select cities this summer.
The Ultimate Marvel Marathon will treat/subject viewers to all 11 Marvel Cinematic Universe joints for $65, capping things off with a premiere screening of Avengers: Age of Ultron on the evening of May 1st. Here’s the full timeline, from AMC:
6:00pm IRON MAN
8:25pm THE INCREDIBLE HULK
10:35pm IRON MAN 2
3:10am CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER
5:30am THE AVENGERS
8:48am IRON MAN 3
11:15am THOR: THE DARK WORLD
1:45pm CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
4:20pm GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
7:00pm AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (RealD® 3D)
The curious thing here, to me, besides spending almost 30 consecutive hours watching superhero movies in the first place, is the fact that it starts at 6 PM rather than sometime in the morning. But I guess if you’re strapped in for this much entertainment in one sitting, it doesn’t really matter when you start. Other chains are going to announce similar marathons soon, so hopefully one will be in your town if you have what it takes to go. For more on the AMC Ultimate Marvel Marathon, check it out here.
