A little while ago we showed you the Table Tennis Trainer, a smart touchscreen ping pong table for improving your game and enhancing competitive play. Now, another ping pong training product is making the rounds, this one in the crowdfunding arena. It’s called Trainerbot, and it’s the next best thing to having a friend who likes to play ping pong.
Trainerbot is a “smart ping pong robot” that’s completely programmable via smartphone. If you have 30 ping pong balls handy, you can program as many as 30 shots in a clip, across different variables like trajectory, spin, and direction. The one thing it can’t do, alas, is hit back, but they probably said the same thing about those large-scale tennis ball machines back in the day.
If you want to try to improve your ping pong game with a programmable smart ping pong robot, you can get more info on Trainerbot from its Kickstarter listing here, where pre-orders are starting at $330 and up.
