I just rewatched Minority Report last night, which means I’m newly terrified of the future’s encroaching surveillance state (which may already be here by most objective standards). Still, the convenience that is purportedly offered by the Token smart ring seems pretty appealing.
Token is a smart ring that is designed to be worn by the user every moment of every day, and can be scanned as a credit card, used to lock and unlock doors, log into your computer, pay your bus fare, and much more. It comes in a variety of colors, each one with a battery that’s supposed to last about two weeks on a charge, and the new promotional video for the smart ring seems to suggest that you’ll forget you’re even wearing it.
You can watch that video for yourself below, and get more information and pre-release details at the official Token site right here.
