Joel Heffernan has won awards for his bar-tending and mixology skills during his tenure at the Crown Club 23 in Melbourne, Australia. But now his sights are set on another accolade: To be the mixer of the world’s most expensive cocktail.
It’s called The Winston, and it’s got 16 man-hours poured into it, as well as a bit of Cognac Croizet 1858 Cuvee Leonie, one of the most expensive cognacs in the world.
The price tag on The Winston is reported as $12,500, which would put it ahead of the current record-holder, Salvatore’s Legacy by Salvatore Calabrese. Now all that remains is to wait and see if the people at the Guinness Book of World Records acknowledge Heffernan’s accomplishment. Good luck, Joel.
