Good news for fans of Daft Punk and/or The Weeknd: The three musicians are reportedly sharing some studio time, according to an interview from mid-July with a tidbit that’s only recently getting picked up on by fans. Not much information on this The Weeknd x Daft Punk collaboration apart from that is available, but it’s plentiful food for anticipation in the meantime.
The interview in question was with Republic Records executive vice president Wendy Goldstein in Billboard, who had this to say about a The Weeknd x Daft Punk collaboration:
“Well actually, we have a session coming up in two days with The Weeknd and Daft Punk, and I’ve always been a massive Daft Punk fan. This is the first time I’ve been involved with an artist who’s going to go and work with them.”
And that’s not all. A week ago, The Weeknd posted a photo on Facebook with a couple of robots that look awful familiar:
