Sony is bursting full-throttle back into the digital camera game with a new item that some are referring to as a “game-changer.” It’s the RX1. But don’t let the RX1’s short and sweet name fool you – this camera is packed with state-of-the art features, including a 24 Megapixel Full-Frame DSLR-grade sensor, a fixed 35mm F/2.0 Zeiss lens, 5 fps continuous shooting, 14 bit RAW, ISO range of 100 – 25,600, and a 3-inch LCD screen.
Photography buffs reading this are probably already salivating, but there is a caveat: This kind of hardware doesn’t come cheap. The RX1 digital camera from Sony is expected to carry a price tag of around $2,800. So start saving up now.
Of course, much of this information—as well as the above photo—is leaked, and has yet to be confirmed by the company. But when Sony finally does release details on the new RX1 digital camera, you’ll be able to find them at Sony’s website.
