It doesn’t get much credit for this, but The Price Is Right has to be one of the most complex game shows out there. There are so many different mini-games within the overarching game show format, that I’ve often wondered how the models on the show are able to keep the rules straight. And a clip from a recent episode confirms what can happen when one of them makes a mistake – and the answer is, everyone seems pretty cool with it.
The game involved guessing the correct price on a new car, and as usual with The Price is Right, there was some business with removing cards on a board. But the model in charge of this particular game, Manuela Arbeláez, accidentally pulled the wrong card, and the right answer was revealed.
It’s a pretty funny game show moment, and host Drew Carey goes out of his way to show he’s not upset (I can see Dick Clark firing somebody on the spot if that ever happened on one of his game shows), and apparently it wasn’t an act, according to a tweet from Arbeláez:
For those of you asking: the producers and @DrewFromTV couldn't have been more supportive and understanding. I'm not in trouble 🙂 phew!
