Nike is in the midst of promoting the Hypervenom Phantom II sneaker, and as part of that effort they’ve unveiled a new virtual reality experience starring signature athlete Neymar Jr. It’s The Neymar Jr. Effect, a short VR clip that you can watch even without a VR headset thanks to an onscreen controller.
Of course, to experience The Neymar Jr. Effect in full, you need to have a Google Cardboard headset. But even if you don’t, YouTube has a 360-degree controller that lets you look around almost as if you were inside Neymar’s head, a la Being John Malkovich. It’s pretty cool, and since it’s only a minute and a half long, what have you got to lose?
You can find out by watching (or maybe that should say “experiencing”) The Neymar Jr. Effect below. And for more on the Nike Hypervenom II sneaker, check it out at Nike’s official site right here.
