I sometimes miss the late 90s/early 2000s era for Fox, when they would air a bunch of the craziest stuff possible on network TV. I’m talking about Glutton Bowl. I’m talking about … well, Glutton Bowl. But The Masked Singer sort of reminds me of that era, and that’s enough for me to be somewhat interested.
The Masked Singer is a celebrity singing competition in which the competitors are masked, and presumably famous enough to cause a minor stir when they are unmasked. It’s a popular format in Korea, where clips from the show have broken into North America as viral videos, so it was only a matter of time before someone decided to bring the show stateside.
