The 2016 presidential election promises to have a shot at being the most insufferable in our nation’s history, but there’s no reason you should suffer through it all in silence. One alternative might be found in The Contender, a new Cards-Against-Humanity-like game that puts players inside their own presidential debate.
Unlike the real thing, the stated goal of The Contender is for debaters to be funny, and the winner of the debate (and, fictionally speaking, the presidency) is the person who emerges the funniest. Whether or not this would make a good system of government in the real world is for the reader to decide.
Not up for debate is that The Contender is currently raising funds for a wide release now, and you can get more information on the game and its Kickstarter campaign at its official site right here. As one American president once said, my only regret is that it is all so terribly true.
