Kobe Bryant, currently in the midst of his huge farewell blowout leading up to his final NBA game tonight, has accumulated his share of haters and detractors over the course of his career (whether it’s more than his fair share is open to debate). In a new Nike ad called The Conductor, Kobe redirects all that vitriol in the most melodious way possible.
The Conductor starts with Kobe getting yelled at by various antagonists on the crowd during a game, but Kobe turns the tables by, uh, conducting them through a rousing rendition of “I’ve Been Hating You Too Long.” Among the perhaps-a-little-too-enthusiastic singers are Phil Jackson, Paul Pierce, and Rasheed Wallace.
You can see it all go down by watching The Conductor below. And to say goodbye to Kobe by purchasing some of his quality Nike products, take one last saunter through the Kobe Bryant x Nike online store right here.
