The Big Lebowski is one of the most beloved cult films of all time, but for whatever reason it didn’t get a mainstream pinball machine version back when it came out. That’s especially surprising because when you think about it, it’s a perfect movie to be adapted in pinball form, since The Dude is basically a relaxed, perpetually high version of a pinball, bouncing around between various parties and never really understanding anything that’s going on around him. So it’s about damn time that The Big Lebowski Pinball has arrived.
Or perhaps I should say it’s almost arrived, because The Big Lebwoski Pinball is still in the development stage. But it appears to be close to a done deal, and pre-orders are being excepted now, with a cool bonus touch of $25 from every purchase going to a childhood hunger charity favored by The Dude himself, Jeff Bridges.
You can check out The Big Lebwoski Pinball at the project’s website here, where it’s priced at $8,500. If that seems a little steep, just sell one of your rugs. That ought to cover it.
