Your girlfriend might think your time spent taking pictures of dumb stuff you do and posting them on the internet is just a silly waste of time, but perhaps it isn’t: Take Iowa State University sophomore Chris Jorgensen, who rose to viral fame when he tweeted a picture of a Pop-Tart and cheese sandwich, which he claimed was an Iowa delicacy. Based on the popularity of that photo, the people at Arby’s invited him to their R&D department to create a more substantial sandwich, and thus the Big Iowa was born. Here’s what the sandwich is, per USA Today:
“The Big Iowa features warm, thinly sliced pit-smoked ham, roast turkey, smoked brisket, melted cheddar cheese, red onions, mozzarella sticks, pepper bacon and Parmesan peppercorn ranch on a toasted onion roll.”
The Big Iowa was said to be inspired by Iowa fair food, which the rest of the country probably isn’t ready for. As such, the sandwich will only be available at the Ames, Iowa Arby’s location for one day only – tomorrow, December 14th.
