I feel confident in saying that Prince is probably the only person to have ever lived that could really pull off titling his own memoirs The Beautiful One. So it’s a good thing that before his untimely death a couple of years ago he capitalized on that capability, writing out 50 pages of the project by hand. Now, according to his estate, the book will be published sometime by the holiday season.
And if you prefer to read The Beautiful One as Prince wrote it, there’s some possibly good news on the horizon: The estate’s publishing agent Esther Newberg told Variety that the book “may include reproductions of Prince’s longhand pages” (evidently there’s something swimming in the zeitgeist involving the penmanship of famous musical artists).
The Beautiful One was co-authored with Dan Piepenbring, and you can read more about the project at Variety right here. Stay tuned for additional release details as we get closer to the holiday season.
