When you’re a kid, every ball pit seems like the biggest one in the world. But Snarkitecture has made the actual biggest ball pit in the world, and they’re getting ready to unveil it at the upcoming Sydney Festival early next year. It’s called The Beach.
How big is The Beach? 60 by 23 meters, which is enough space to hold its 1.1 million clear plastic balls. The balls lap up against a “shoreline” (complete with deck chairs, in keeping with the beach theme) on one side of the structure, and a wall of mirrors on the other, making it seem even bigger than it actually is from inside.
The Beach was first seen in a small version at the National Building Museum in Washington DC, but the Sydney Festival starting on January 7th is the public’s first opportunity to see it in its present, ballsier form. In the meantime, you can get more information at the product’s listing on the Sydney Festival’s official site right here.
