I was at a bar a couple weeks ago and that show American Ninja Warrior was on one of the TVs. For some reason, I couldn’t look away, maybe because I was a big fan of shows like GUTS and American Gladiators as a kid, or maybe it was just the intangible power of the American Ninja that forced me to ignore my friends and loved ones in favor of this dumb show. I bring it up because the Cool Material gang in conjunction with Ninja contestant Aaron Himelright have whipped up The American Ninja Warrior Workout so you can get in shape just like the ninjas on the show.
The American Ninja Warrior Workout is a chart that outlines a pretty intense workout regimen, divided into 11 exercises that are designed to be done all in one go, with just a one-minute rest period in between. But Himelright promises that if you make it through and stick to it regularly, you’ll have a better chance of succeeding should you ever be confronted with outlandish obstacles like the ones seen on American Ninja Warrior.
