A couple days ago there was a motion poster released for Terminator: Genisys, which in some iterations included a countdown clock to today, when the first official trailer for the movie was set to drop. Then there was a 15-second teaser for the trailer that came out a day after that, and that I neglected to write about for reasons of good taste (doing more than two articles about Terminator: Genisys in one week is just gauche). Now, the day has finally arrived, and the first full trailer for the movie has finally reached the internet.
The trailer is full of familiar moments to fans of the Terminator franchise, like Sarah Connor (now played by Emilia Clarke) saying “come with me if you want to live” and Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s T-800 promising that he’ll “be back.” And, as promised by other advanced promotional materials for the movie, this doesn’t appear to be a reboot, but instead a sequel/prequel that threads in and out of the original movies’ plot line (that’s the magic of time travel for you).
You can watch the first trailer for Terminator: Genisys below. And for more, head over to the film’s official website here.
