It looks like a watch, but the new Suunto Traverse could potentially do a lot more than just tell you the time. It’s designed as kind of a comprehensive traveling companion you wear on your wrist, with a host of features to optimize even your most out-of-the-way adventures.
Those features include syncing up with trips planned ahead of time online at Movescount.com, and real-time GPS navigation. The Suunto Traverse has 100 hours of battery life on one charge, and also includes a “digital breadcrumb” feature for if you have to bail out and find your way back home.
The Suunto Traverse does a lot of other awesome stuff, as well as, yeah, telling you the time, and you can check out all of its great features at Suunto’s site right here. Pre-orders are $450 a pop, with shipments set to begin in about a week and a half, so you won’t have long to wait before the world is yours.
