New from Suunto is another addition to their line of watches specifically engineered in both form and function to serve as perfect wrist-bound companions for protracted outdoor adventures. It’s called the Suunto Traverse Collection, and one of its newest prize jewels is the Suunto Traverse Alpha.
The Suunto Traverse Alpha can keep metaphorically ticking for up to 100 hours on a charge, which will be especially useful if you get lost and have to find your way back to base camp using the watch’s integrated GPS location functions. That’s joined by the watch’s built-in electronic compass and altimeter, as well as a lunar calendar and automatic shot detection for hunters, all of which is operated by the watch’s red backlit interface that won’t mess with your night vision goggles.
For more info on the Suunto Traverse Alpha and the rest of the Traverse Collection, head to the Suunto official site here where the watch is priced at $570.
