Fighting game franchises don’t come much more beloved than the Street Fighter series, and the eagerly awaited fifth installment now has a big, flashy, cinematic trailer to stoke that anticipation to even greater temperatures in advance of the release of Street Fighter V later this month.
The trailer for Street Fighter V emphasizes both returning characters and new ones, all soundtracked by some of the best retro 80s electric guitar riffs outside of an Yngwie Malmsteen record. The game’s reported bonus content also gets tipped — like, for example, the return of fan favorite “Evil Ryu” as hinted by the trailer.
See the trailer for Street Fighter V below. The game hits PlayStation 4 and PCs on February 19th, and in the meantime you can take a look at some more official Street Fighter content (including an actual gameplay trailer for the newest sequel) at its official site right here.
