That lovable purple dragon we all know and love, Spyro, is coming back to PlayStation and Xbox consoles next month, in remastered and upgraded versions of his first three adventures — that would be Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon — in honor of the 20th anniversary of the franchise. And they’re being released under the collective title Spyro: Reignited Trilogy.
There’s a trailer for Spyro: Reignited Trilogy online now, after having been previously available reportedly as a secret bonus item in Crash Bandicoot Warped. It focuses heavily on the improved graphics and visuals of the newly redeveloped games, with a couple of nifty screen-wipes from old to new that will probably make you a believer:
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy arrives for the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X on September 21st, priced at a little under $40, but you can pre-order it from most major retailers now.
