I’d never heard of the Brazilian TV show the Silvio Santos Program before today, but given what I’ve seen I think it might be worth checking out. And what I saw today was a hidden camera prank that puts American hidden camera shows to shame, as some poor woman was subjected to a very realistic and scary zombie invasion while she was alone on the subway.
The trouble starts when the subway’s PA announcer starts screaming for help (never a good sign), followed by some sinister light-flickers and a seemingly total power outage. Then, good news, the lights come back on, but bad news, the subway station is full of flesh eating zombies. The woman predictably (and understandably) freaks out, and a good time was had by all the Silvio Santos Program‘s many viewers.
I don’t know how the Silvio Santos Program works, or why the clip below cuts off before we see the traditional “it was all a prank, smile, you’re on camera,” resolution, but I do know that if something like the below happened to me I would either go into shock or immediately realize I was on a hidden camera show. If you have a delicate constitution, you might want to just look at some photos of the prank in the gallery up at the top, and for more check out the recent Daily Mail article about the prank here.
