I’ve always been mildly surprised and disbelieving that they were actually calling the sequel to 2015’s Sicario Sicario 2: Soldado — and now, it seems, they aren’t anymore. There’s a new trailer for the film out now, and with it a new, much smoother title: Sicario: Day of the Soldado. Here’s the official synopsis:
“Assassin. Soldier. Protector. Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin face-off in #SicarioMovie, watch the all-new trailer now and don’t miss on the big screen June 29th.”
The new trailer for Sicario: Day of the Soldado makes it seem like a dream come true for everyone who thought Sicario was too restrained and not packed with enough action and violence. Sure, that could just be a marketing ploy, but it could also reflect the content of the film. See for yourself:
And we’ll all see for ourselves what Sicario: Day of the Soldado is like when it comes out on June 29th … unless it gets yet another title before then.
