I hate to make you feel guilty three days before Christmas, but I just have to say this: Netflix is sick and tired of you wanting constant entertainment as society collapses around you. That might sound like nonsense – after all, Netflix is more responsible for fostering TV binge culture than any other company – but the description for the upcoming crime anthology drama Seven Seconds makes it clear that they want you to pay attention to what’s happening in your own community for a change:
“In a society fraught with racial tension, sensational headlines, and an audience who would rather be entertained than informed, seven seconds can mean life or death. The new Netflix original series SEVEN SECONDS gives viewers a glimpse into the human stories behind the headlines.”
I watched the new teaser for Seven Seconds hoping to get a clear explanation for why it’s called that, but I guess that will have to wait. For now, check out that teaser below, and watch for the show to hit Netflix on February 23rd, 2018.
