Lots of tech companies have been showing off their latest and greatest stuff at CES 2016, and one of the most exciting pieces would have to be from Segway. It’s the Segway Advanced Personal Robot, produced in conjunction with Intel and Xiaomi as a personal robotic assistant.
The Segway Advanced Personal Robot doesn’t have the personality of Rosie the Robot, but it’s almost as useful as she used to be in the Jetson household, with its Intel RealSense RGB-D for object tracking and connectivity to myriad smart appliances. Plus, you can ride it like a Segway (save your jokes about poor Rosie, please).
Check out the Segway Advanced Personal Robot in the video below. And despite its seeming like a vision of the future, shipments of advance developers’ models are expected to begin this fall, with mass production following that early next year.
