If you’re interested in comic books, or maybe even if you just want to be interested in comic books, you’ve probably wondered if there’s a “Netflix for comic books” somewhere out there. Now, there finally is, and it falls under the preexisting Scribd umbrella now that the eBook subscription service has acquired a huge library of digital comics.
The big get for Scribd’s comic book collection is Marvel, which the company says is offering users about a quarter of their massive comics archive. But lots of other imprints are included, too, like Arcana, Archie, Boom! Studios, Dynamite, IDW/Top Shelf, Kingstone, and much more (no DC though, at least not yet).
A Scribd subscription will set you back $8.99 a month, and that includes not just the comics but a reputed one million eBooks for those rare times that you’re in the mood to read something unaccompanied by images. You can get some more information over at Scribd’s website here.
