More than 30 years ago, runner Rod Dixon collaborated with shoe brand Saucony for a signature sneaker in the wake of his New York Marathon win. Now, Saucony is honoring the legacy of Rod Dixon with the Saucony DXN Trainer Lodge Pack, a return of the shoe that blazed new trails in the arena of innovation in sneaker design.
The Saucony DXN Trainer Lodge Pack gets its name from the lodges of the New Zealand wilderness, where Dixon is said to enjoy spending time to this day. As for the shoes themselves, they hew close to the original 30-year-old design, and feature gum rubber outsoles and extra-warm linings for treks in the wintry wilderness.
Two colorways, gray mountain wool and camouflage canvas, make up the Saucony DXN Trainer Lodge Pack, and they’re priced between $90 and $100. You can get a lot more information on the shoes, as well as shop the collection, at Saucony’s Lodge Pack website here.
