For over a month, Eminem has been teasing his upcoming new album by way of a fake prescription drug brand called Revival, a treatment for a disorder called “Atrox Rithimus.” Unfortunately for Atrox Rithimus sufferers, any hope of a drug by that name was obliterated by an Instagram post from Em’s famous mentor Dr. Dre.
The Instagram post takes the form of another commercial for Revival, but turns into an ad for Revival instead, with the following admission from the drug’s official brand representative:
“You’ve spent the last few weeks hearing about Revival and how you could treat moderate to severe Atrox Rithimus. Well, today I have great news for all of you suffering from AR. You see, Revival isn’t a medication at all. Revival is the name of the new album from Eminem. And it’s coming out December 15th.”
So there you have it, folks. Eminem’s new album Revival will be out on December 15th. Check out Dre’s Instagram post on the subject right here, and if the record doesn’t clear up your Atrox Rithimus next month, maybe you should consider a cruise to a healthier climate or something.
