The dream of every video game enthusiast is a single console that can play every game in history. RetroBlox isn’t quite that, but it’s a step in the right direction, and might be the closest you can get here in the real world.
Billed as “the world’s first modular HD retro game console,” RetroBlox has an optical disc drive that will read games for consoles like the PlayStation and Sega CD, as well as the modular capability to read cartridge games too. Users will have the option of playing directly from the cartridge or copying the game digitally, and the console will features a host of social media features as well—and all “in glorious HD.”
RetroBlox is heading to a crowdfunding site near you sometime later this year (when pricing details should become available), but for now you can see more and sign up for future details at the console’s official site right here.
