You probably heard about Nordstrom‘s attempt to get their most idiotic and/or financially reckless customers to spend $425 on a pair of Barracuda jeans caked in a fake mud-like substance designed to simulate actual grime from outdoor work and play. Because half of brands’ marketing budgets go towards trolling each other on the internet now, Reebok responded with the Reebok Authentic Sweat Shirt.
The Reebok Authentic Sweat Shirt is purportedly “sweat stained” and priced at the infamous $425 point: “We’re putting in the hard work for you and giving you a pre-sweated tee for that post-workout look and smell.” And lest you accuse Reebok of taking a joke too far, no, you cannot actually purchase one because they’re listed as “sold out”—for now.
Trust me, if Reebok could get away with selling a Reebok Authentic Sweat Shirt for $425, they would probably do it, but for now it remains the domain of brand-on-brand trolling. Check out the fake product listing at Reebok’s real online store right here.
