Exclusivity is a dying animal in today’s increasingly digitally democratic world, but thankfully there are still some old guards like Ralph Lauren keeping the flame alive. The fashion designer recently announced the opening of a 11,840-square-foot concept store in Milan that will cater only to the brand’s best and most important customers.
Ralph Lauren refers to the store as “uberluxe,” which apparently means that the store’s VIP customers will receive one-on-one service available only by appointment. As for what will go on behind those closed doors, the store will offer Lauren’s men’s Purple Label and women’s collections, complete with customized tailoring and other premium services. Finally, a good reason to be rich and/or famous.
You can read more about Ralph Lauren’s uberluxe Milan concept retail location over at WWD here, albeit (appropriately enough) only if you’re a subscriber. The store itself is scheduled to open in place of RL’s current Milan location in September, so if you’re planning on grabbing any Ralph Lauren stuff in Milan and you’re not a VIP, you better get it done soon.
