Netflix for _____ is a common-enough shorthand for startups and other tech ventures these days, but I think Porsche has pretty much put the concept to bed with their latest project. It’s called the Porsche Passport Program, and believe it or not it’s more or less Netflix for Porsches.
The Porsche Passport Program is currently available in a pilot phase in Atlanta, GA, where customers can choose one of two membership levels: ”Launch” and ”Accelerate.” Launch is the budget option of the two, and for $2,000 a month you have your pick of two variants each of the 718 Boxster, the 718 Cayman, the Macan and the Cayenne. Accelerate costs three grand a month, but the available library of cars is up to 22 models, including everything available under Launch.
Additional features are reportedly designed to entice even those who already own a Porsche to sign up for the Porsche Passport Program, like the expected free maintenance but also on-demand washing and delivery of selected cars.
