If you’ve spent any time following big watch releases, you know that Porsche has been no stranger to collaborative timepieces with other brands. But the company has recently announced its intentions to put out a watch completely in-house, and the project goes by the name Porsche Design Timepiece No. 1.
The Porsche Design Timepiece No. 1 watch harkens back to previous model watches to bear the Porsche brand name, going all the way back to 1972 with its completely black visual scheme. The only break from the darkness comes in the form of white markers on the face, and the whole thing runs thanks to a Valjoux 7750 movement under the hood.
Release details on the Porsche Design Timepiece No. 1 are fairly scarce, but we do know it’s going to be a limited edition of only 500 units, and there’s an image of the watch that you can see up at the top, courtesy of Uncrate here. And for more, keep your eyes on the official Porsche Design website here, where more details on the watch should arrive soon.
