The time is obviously right for a Polaroid renaissance, with Instagram a huge phenomenon and even a book of Andy Warhol’s old Polaroid snapshots coming out. Polaroid itself has been trying to reintegrate itself into mainstream photography for a while now, and their latest attempt is the Polaroid Snap Instant Digital Camera.
The Polaroid Snap Instant Digital Camera’s killer app is the same as Polaroid has always had – instant photo printing (this time around with ZINK Zero Ink Printing Technology). But since it’s 2015 and this is a digital camera, it can do a lot of other stuff too. There are various different shooting modes, including, naturally, a Polaroid filter, as well as “Photo Booth” mode which churns out six quick pictures in ten seconds.
Availability of the Polaroid Snap is expected in the last part of this year, but for more information on the camera you can read Polaroid’s official press release right here.
