The 2015 Polaris Slingshot has been unveiled, and it’s a pretty impressive ride all across the board. It combines elements of the high-performance roadster and the motorcycle (in some states it even requires a motorcycle license to drive legally), and it’s probably as close as anyone in this universe will come to riding the Batpod from The Dark Knight in real life.
A 2.4-liter engine powers the Slingshot, and its two-seat open-air riding experience has been described on the Polaris website as “a roadster jet-fighter.” Unfortunately (or maybe that’s fortunately), that would appear to be a figure of speech, since I’m pretty sure the Slingshot isn’t actually equipped with any actual weaponry. Still, it’s pretty cool.
You can see how cool by taking a look at the 2015 Polaris Slingshot in the product video below. And for a lot more information, head over to Polaris’ website here, where the Polaris Slingshot’s MSRP is listed at just under $24,000 (price inquiries are being accepted though, so a lower price is probably possible).
