Several months ago, we brought you news of the latest in beard trimmers from Philips. It was the Norelco 9000, which had the distinction of being among the first beard trimmers to use laser-guiding technology for tricky facial hair projects. Now, the Norelco 9000 has spawned a new model, the Philips Norelco 9100.
Like the original, the Phlips Norelco 9100 boasts 17 different length settings, and can hold an hour’s worth of laser-powered trimming in one charge of its battery. But arguably the most important refinement is the price. Where the 9000 model cost almost $100, the 9100 has an MSRP that’s $10 cheaper, which translates to even bigger discounts from most retailers.
One of those retailers is Amazon, where the Philips Norelco 9100 Beard Trimmer is currently available here for a price of under $80. And if you have a desire to see that laser-guided beard trimming technology in action before you buy, just take a look at the video below, which shows the 9100 being used by none other than Jonny Gomes of the Boston Red Sox.
