When it comes to displaying your TV in your house, you’ve historically been limited to two basic options: Mount it on a table or wall, or fit it into a larger entertainment center. Those two options are still present with the new DesignLine HDTV from Philips, but with a third: You can lean it up against the wall.

At least, the Phillips DesignLine HDTV will appear as though it is being leaned up against a wall. It’s actually a wall hanging, but the innovative design from TP Vision ensures that the Philips DesignLine HDTV will look great even when it’s turned off.

Of course, leaning the DesignLine against your wall at home is still a ways off, unless your home is located within or near a select group of European and Russian markets that currently offer the product. Until the DesignLine gets a wider release, you’ll just have to be content with the photos in the above gallery, which show the TV in action.
