French automaker Peugeot is launching several new concept cars at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, allegedly, in an effort to boost morale from a company that isn’t doing too great financially these days. One of them is the Onyx, a plug-in hybrid car that refuses to sacrifice style and performance for its hybrid nature.
Even though the Onyx pulls a very healthy 58 miles per gallon of gas, it’s got a very strong 1.6-liter four-cylinder traditional engine, which can send up to 256 horsepower to the car’s rear wheels. If the Onyx actually makes it through the concept stage and into production, it could be just the shot in the arm Peugeot is looking for.
