Pepsi has been pumping their sweet nectar into the same bottles for almost 17 years now (that’s right people – a kid born in 1996 is now old enough to drive), so the perpetually youthful soda brand probably thought it was time for a change.
Enter the new Pepsi bottle, part of the brand’s “Excitement of Now” advertising campaign. The new Pepsi bottle features a swirl motif on the bottom half that is said to give consumers a “more stimulating, tactile” experience with the soda they know and love. Ah, marketing.
The change will extend to all of the brands under the Pepsi trademark beginning on April 16th. You can see a picture of the new bottle, plus the old ones for comparison, in the gallery above.
